Care Quality Commission

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is an independent regulator of health and adult social in England. Their role is to make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high quality care and to encourage improvement in services.

Regulatory inspections and checks are made of all providers of health and care services – including Origin. This is to verify that the service provider meets the legal requirements associated with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and to look at the overall quality of service. Following the inspection a CQC rating for the service is given.

The CQC report states, ‘People who used the service told us they were happy with the care and support provided. People applauded the way in which Origin enabled them to live independent lives.’
