Homefinding a carer

At Origin we appreciate how important it is to find the right Personal Assistant to make independent living a reality, which is why we put so much thought and effort in our carer selection, training and placement.

Life can be complicated enough with a spinal injury which is why all the services that Origin offer are designed to make the selection and every day practicalities of having a Personal Assistant easy and trouble free.

All our Personal Assistants are;
- trained in specialist spinal injury care
- carefully selected and personally interviewed
- reference checked
- matched to individual client preferences and lifestyles
- English speaking, though may be visitors to Britain

In order to achieve the highest levels of service, for which we are renowned, Origin have developed a highly specialised training course which all Personal Assistants must attend.  This is an intensive three day course and covers areas as diverse as the physiology of spinal injury, food hygiene, fire safety, moving and handling and personal care including bowel management.

Everyone at Origin works hard to create the right environment for successful and appropriate client/carer relationships, developing positive, happy and supportive care teams which include managers, office personnel, field workers and of course your family members.

To register your initial needs with Origin, simply complete the two page, on line form.   Where possible and additional information is gathered verbally.
